I'm Andrew Tweedt, the Multimedia Systems Specialist in the VBS studio. My duties include:

• Performing and supporting field shoots
• Performing studio shoots
  • Audio Mixer
  • Teleprompter
  • Lighting (I'm learning)
• Performing and assisting post-production projects
  • Non-linear editing (Final Cut)
  • DVD mastering
  • Tape conversions
  • Streaming and mixed-media content generation
• Providing software and hardware support for our production stations
• Making equipment purchase recommendations to satisfy production needs

I am pursuing (albeit slowly) an undergraduate degree in Forestry here at Virginia Tech. My interests include backpacking, motorcycling, woodworking, building custom computers, GNU/Linux and open-source software, songwriting, and music production.

     

My little boy's name is Digit. He was found in a dumpster when he was 4 weeks old, in 2002. He's pretty smart (capable of locating and opening his own presents on Christmas Day!) Unconditional love is grand.
