This section will focus on correcting the "10060 Disconnected" error that some Quicktime users experience. You do not have to complete these steps unless you encounter Error 10060, but you may want to read ahead for future reference.

Step 19

First, open your Quicktime Preferences. You can access the Preferences from the Windows Control Panel, or you can launch the Quicktime player, and pull down Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Preferences.

Step 20

Use the drop-down menu to navigate to "Streaming Transport" as shown.

Step 21

On the Streaming Transport page, select the option labelled "Use this protocol and port ID:". This will activate the options beneath it. Use the buttons to ensure that "Use HTTP, Port ID:" and "80" are both checked, as highlighted in green to the left.

Now you may close the Preferences and try the stream again.
