Preparing PowerPoint presentations for video conferences and streaming web casts
Certain concepts must be taken into consideration when preparing PowerPoint presentations for video conferences and streaming web casts. These concepts vary somewhat from those used when preparing a presentation for more traditional distribution, such as handouts or classroom presentations. This link will launch a streaming video file that will demonstrate these concepts. The production hints included in the video are: safe title/safe viewing area, selection criteria for font size, color selection, and backgrounds. The streaming file also demonstrates the recommended maximum screen resolution of 320 x 240 used for streaming web casts. Please note that the streaming file is available in several data rates. The lower the data rate, the more critical it becomes to follow the recommended production tips.
JPEG downloads are available of the safe title and the safe viewing guidelines and the template to import into your PowerPoint presentation. Just right-click on the link and save it to your own computer. This link will demonstrate how to incorporate these JPEG files into your PowerPoint presentation.
